BobiBird
How it works

Eight steps, and only one of them is daily

Everything below is the whole game. There is nothing hidden behind it.

01

Get an egg

Ten dollars, paid in $BOBI. Every drop rate is published before you buy, and everything needed to check a hatch afterwards is published with the Bobi. You must be 18 or over. You cannot tell what is inside from the outside — that is the point.

02

Wait three days

An egg does nothing for three days. It cannot be fed and it cannot be sold. Then it hatches into a Sparrow, a Parrot or an Owl, with seven appearance traits fixed for life.

03

Pick your hour

You choose when your Bobi eats. Pick a time you can actually keep — the game measures you against your own schedule, not ours. From day 91 it eats twice a day, six to nine hours apart.

04

Feed and clean

Arrive within the hour for full points, within the next hour for half, and after that for none. Cleaning has its own daily rhythm. Neither takes more than a few seconds.

05

Watch it grow

Four visible stages over 180 days. It changes shape as it goes, so the difference between a two-week-old Bobi and a five-month-old one is obvious at a glance.

06

Dress it up

Four slots: head, neck, body and feet. Common items are always in the shop and special ones turn up now and then. Limited items are made once, in numbered editions, and never again — the database itself enforces the cap and hands out each number. We never mint, reserve, gift or keep any Limited edition or Designer Set for ourselves, for anyone on the team or for any partner: every one is bought by a player at the published price. Designer Sets are designed and priced but cannot be bought yet, and no set has a sale window. Accessories are not on the chain yet either, so no buyer is visible on Solana today.

07

Trade it

Cash out instantly and the tokens locked in it come back to you, minus an exit fee that falls from 30% to 3% as the Bobi ages. Or list it at your own price for eight hours. If another player buys it, the locked tokens go with the Bobi and you receive the sale price, less a 5% sale fee.

08

Breed and compete

At 180 days a Bobi becomes an adult. It can breed up to three times a year, and it can enter the four competitions.

Before you buy an egg, read every drop rate — the odds for each species, colourway and trait — and how a hatch can be checked afterwards.

Three of those eight steps are not finished, and it is better you hear it here. A Bobi is meant to be a compressed NFT in your own wallet: the mint is built and rehearsed, but it waits on approval from the multisig that holds the collections, so nothing is on the chain yet. That blocks the marketplace with it: a listing is refused for any Bobi that is not on the chain, so no listing can be created until the mint is connected. Cashing out is not gated that way and does work. And paying in SOL or USDC is planned, not built — at the moment every price is paid in $BOBI. The roadmap keeps the list.

Growing up

Younger Bobis eat once a day. From three months they eat twice.

If you miss a day

Nothing is instant and nothing is hidden. Your Bobi tells you, every step of the way.

Days without foodHow it feelsThe fixCost
1–2HungryA normal meal$0.15
3–4WeakA meal and medicine$0.15 + $0.80
5–6Sick — and it looks itA vet visit, 12 hours to recover$2.50 (or $2.50 more to skip the wait)
7+Gone to the shelterHalf its locked tokens are burned. Another player who has spent at least $10 in the game can adopt it for free. An adopted Bobi cannot be sold for 30 days, or bred or cashed out for 180.—

Money can save a sick Bobi. It cannot buy back a broken streak. That is deliberate — if money fixed everything, time would be worth nothing, and time is the only thing this game actually measures.

What things cost

Prices are set in dollars and paid in $BOBI at the current rate, so a change in the token's price does not change what a meal costs in dollars.

ItemPriceNote
Egg$10Three days to hatch
A meal$0.15Once a day, then twice a day from day 91
Cleaning$0.05Daily
Three-day feed$1.20Works exactly like the seven-day feed, for three days: the streak is frozen and those days score no feeding points; cleaning and the daily task still count. $0.60 while it eats once a day
Seven-day feed$4.00Keeps it alive while you are away. The streak is frozen — it neither grows nor breaks — and those days score no feeding points; cleaning and the daily task still count. $2.00 while it eats once a day
Medicine$0.80Days 3–4
Vet$2.50Days 5–6. Twelve hours to recover, or $2.50 more to skip the wait

Selling to a player5% of the price3% burned, 2% to the treasury

About $10.50 a month

That is an adult, fed twice a day and cleaned daily. Of it, 60% is locked in the Bobi and can come back to you in tokens if you cash it out, less the exit fee — so the part spent outright is closer to $4.20. And the dollar value of those tokens can fall while they wait.

Where every purchase goes

60% locked in the Bobi or accessory you bought · 20% burned forever · 10% to the treasury that runs the game · 10% to the prize wallet. Listing, sale and cash-out fees are split as the table shows.

The locked 60% sits in a pool wallet we run, not in your own wallet. The $BOBI you top up to play with sits in a custody wallet we also run, until you withdraw it. More on the token, and on what can go wrong.
